The first wave of Baby Yoda toys is here and it conquered the 2020 New York Toy Fair. Toys, collectibles, books, apparel, games, accessories and more. You name it, there’s a Baby Yoda version of it.
Now, you may say that this is too much and it could water down the appeal of Baby Yoda. You are somewhat right. It will if you buy all of it.
But most people have very different interests, so this way the market covers all of the possible demands. And all fans should be able to find Baby Yoda merch which is up to their tastes.
Of course, this includes a lot of Baby Yoda plush toys. Some of them even claim to be “the softest plush” ever. And while the actual Baby Yoda isn’t furry, these “softest” plushies are very, very furry.
Other toys aim for the best representation possible. So, they aren’t furry, but try to replicate Baby Yoda as close to the original as possible.
Of course, there are also plenty of action figures, memorabilia and other toys. “Finding ways to engage and surprise audiences with this new ‘Star Wars’ story has been a tremendous opportunity,” Favreau said in a Toy Fair New York statement. “And holding back on product development gave everyone the chance to discover the character affectionately known to fans as ‘Baby Yoda’ together. This is something special in the age of spoilers.”
Some of the toys are already out for pre-sales and pre-orders. Even this way they are selling out quick. Of course, if you’re patient enough, you will be able to get them at a later date. But for the biggest fans of Star Wars and Baby Yoda, it’s a bit of a challenge.
