It may be a bit too early for Christmas, but many parents often are already thinking about the holidays. And retailers are more than happy to help.
Amazon has revealed its top five toy trends for Christmas 2019. They feature not only the expected hottest toys, but toy categories in general.
“At Amazon, we pride ourselves on being able to deliver everything our customers need for a magical festive season, and the smiles on Christmas morning are undoubtedly the most important,” says James French, Head of Toy Buying at Amazon UK to the Daily Record.
“This year, we are spoilt for choice with so many fantastic new toys set to deliver huge smiles come the big day. As our top five forecasted trends show, there is something for every age and budget on the list and say tuned – with even more must-haves toys set to be announced later this year, we look forward to releasing our top picks in the run up to Christmas.”
So, what are the trends? Amazon expects a big rise in popularity of classic board games with a new interactive twist. For example Pictionary Air.
Pre-school kids will get to enjoy new types of sensory toys. Like Fisher Prices’s Linkimals range of interactive animals. The toys can even interact with each other and the more they are, the bigger the party.
Of course, movie-related toys will always be big. This year we already had Toy Story 4 and the Lion King and Aladin. Now we can expect Star Wars Episode 9, Frozen 2 and more.
There will be also interesting electronic toys and surprise packs like LOL Surprise will also continue to be popular. There will be plenty of new surprise packs in different categories. So, kids of all ages could be interested to find what their surprise pack holds.
