What were you doing when you were 15 years old? Chances are you weren’t busy organizing toy conventions like Nana Sarfo from Las Vegas.
Yes, Nana is indeed 15 years old. She has been organizing LPSCON since she was 12, she says to KTNV. What is LPSCON you ask?
It’s a convention for fans of Littlest Pet Shop – the cute small toys made by Hasbro. “After school, I plan. That’s basically all I do,” says Nana. “I used to play with them but now it’s more of a collection thing.”
She isn’t the only big fan of Littlest Pet Shop. And what do fans and collectors love to do? Gather and show off their collections, of course.
So, the first year Nana organized a small meeting in the park. Her mom provided snacks and water. The event was quite the success.
It was such a big success, that it grew very fast. This year more than 300 people came and Nana had to book the Henderson Convention Center for the event. Some fans even traveled from California to Vegas just for the convention.
Nana is already looking forward to next year. She hopes to attract even more visitors and eventually to have Hasbro on board as an official sponsor. It’s safe to say that Nana is already quite the business lady. Well done!
